A Weekend as Aunt Lucy

Darren had to be stupid — there was no way his Aunt Lucy really had a way to swap bodies with people. She told him she owned a small statue she’d purchased years ago while on holiday, one that supposedly allowed people to exchange bodies. She claimed she’d swapped with his uncle a couple of times but wanted to try being someone different. So, she invited Darren over one afternoon to test it out.

When Darren arrived, Aunt Lucy was in the garden wearing a bikini, sitting on the edge of the pool. She saw him and jumped up immediately. “Sit right there — I’ll be back in a second,” she said.

When she returned, she was holding a small statue. It was pyramid-shaped, etched with strange old writing. She placed it on the ground between them and told Darren to copy her position. He knelt down, watching her smile with excitement — she was clearly eager to swap with him. Darren, however, still wasn’t sure about any of this.

He placed his hand on the statue, mirroring Lucy’s gesture. Suddenly, the pyramid began to glow and opened slightly. Before he could react, a flash of light shot through the air — his soul was ripped from his body and pulled into the pyramid. A moment later, he found himself staring across at his own body… in utter shock.

Darren raised a hand up to his eye line. It was slightly older, with long, well-kept nails. On the third finger was a ring — his Aunt Lucy’s wedding ring. He looked down and saw that he was now wearing a bikini. Reaching up, he grabbed a handful of hair — long and light brown — before slowly running his hands over the rest of his body, becoming acutely aware that he was now, unmistakably, his aunt. His hands paused over his new chest, and the sensation was… strange.

Lucy, meanwhile, was on her feet, jumping up and down with excitement.

“God, you have so much energy! Oh, to be twenty-one again— oh wait, I am!” she laughed, stretching her new limbs with delight.

She too was examining her new form — her larger, manly hands brushing over Darren’s face and playing with his nose piercing. That’s going to take some getting used to, she thought with amusement. “I can pee standing up now — mental!” she said, laughing.

Darren watched his aunt’s over-the-moon reaction to being in his body. Then the front door opened — his uncle had come home. Lucy quickly grabbed the statue and hid it.

His uncle walked straight over to Darren and leaned in for a kiss. Darren froze, pulling back and pretending to feel unwell. His uncle seemed to buy it, chuckling and turning to who he thought was Darren to talk about the football game the night before. Lucy, in Darren’s body, replied smoothly, and her husband laughed, excusing himself soon after.

Now that the shock had worn off, Darren was desperate to swap back. He liked his aunt, but he had no interest in pretending to be her — especially not around his uncle. The thought alone made his stomach twist.

But Lucy managed to convince him to stay as her for the weekend. “He’s going on a golf trip anyway,” she explained. After hearing that, Darren reluctantly agreed. Maybe it would be fun to live as his aunt for a couple of days, he thought.

Lucy left the house almost at a run, thrilled to be young again, while Darren sighed, deciding to get changed and go to bed early.
